Charge density waves in cuprate superconductors beyond the critical doping

چکیده

Abstract The unconventional normal-state properties of the cuprates are often discussed in terms emergent electronic order that onsets below a putative critical doping x c ? 0.19. Charge density wave (CDW) correlations represent one such order; however, experimental evidence for generally spans limited range falls short value , leading to questions regarding its essential relevance. Here, we use X-ray diffraction demonstrate CDW La 2? Sr CuO 4 persist up at least = 0.21. show strong changes through superconducting transition, but no obvious discontinuity 0.19, despite Fermi surface topology and transport this doping. These results interaction between CDWs superconductivity even overdoped prompt reconsideration role high-temperature cuprate phase diagram.

Charge Dynamics in Cuprate Superconductors

In this lecture we present some interesting issues that arise when the dynamics of the charge carriers in the CuO2 planes of the high temperature superconductors is considered. Based on the qualitative picture of doping, set by experiments and some previous calculations, we consider the strength of various inter and intra-cell charge transfer susceptibilities, the question of Coulomb screening ...

Fluctuating charge-density waves in a cuprate superconductor.

Cuprate materials hosting high-temperature superconductivity (HTS) also exhibit various forms of charge and spin ordering whose significance is not fully understood. So far, static charge-density waves (CDWs) have been detected by diffraction probes only at particular doping levels or in an applied external field . However, dynamic CDWs may also be present more broadly and their detection, char...

Dynamic charge inhomogeneity in cuprate superconductors.

The inelastic x-ray scattering spectrum for phonons of Δ(1) symmetry, including the CuO bond-stretching phonon dispersion, is analyzed by means of Lorentz fitting for HgBa(2)CuO(4) and Bi(2)Sr(2)CuO(6), using recently calculated phonon frequencies as input parameters. The resulting mode frequencies of the fit are almost all in good agreement with the calculated data. An exception is the case fo...

Anomalous peak in the superconducting condensate density of cuprate high T c superconductors at a unique critical doping state

Anomalous peak in the superconducting condensate density of cuprate high T c superconductors at a unique critical doping state Abstract The doping dependence of the superconducting condensate density, n o s , has been studied by muon-spin-rotation for Y 0.8 Ca 0.2 Ba 2 (Cu 1−z Zn z) 3 O 7−δ and Tl 0.5−y Pb 0.5+y Sr 2 Ca 1−x Y x Cu 2 O 7. We find that n o s exhibits a pronounced peak at a unique...

D-XY Critical Behavior in Cuprate Superconductors

We outline the universal and finite temperature critical properties of the 3D-XY model, extended to anisotropic extreme type-II superconductors, as well as the universal quantum critical properties in 2D. On this basis we review: (i) the mounting evidence for 3D-XY behavior in optimally doped cuprate superconductors and the 3D to 2D crossover in the underdoped regime; (ii) the finite size limit...
